Good Faith Estimate

You can ask your counselor for a GFE before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. Make sure to save a copy or take a picture of it for your own records. 

There are numerous factors that can make it challenging to provide an estimate on how long it will take a client to complete therapy. It depends on each client, frequency of sessions and goals for therapy. 
For appointments scheduled 3 or more business days before the first appointment date, the GFE will be provided within 1 business day after scheduling. 

For appointments scheduled 10 or more business days before the appointment date, the GFE will be provided within 3 business days after scheduling. 

If an appointment is rescheduled, a new GFE will be provided within the timeframe above. 

If a GFE is requested (without scheduling a service) then it will be provided within 3 business days of the request. 

If you ever receive a bill that is at least $400 more then your provided GFE then you can dispute the bill. You can contact Creative Attunement and let them know the billed charges are higher than their GFE. You can ask to negotiate the bill or inquire about financial assistance. 

If you wish to start a dispute resolution process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human services (HHS), you can do so within 4 months of the date on the original bill. There is a $25 fee to use the dispute process.
