Frequently Asked Questions
Client Restrictions?
We only accept clients ages 19+, no children, no couples, no families. At this time, we do NOT specialize in the following: eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, chronic pain, autism and infertility. If these arise you may be referred out to someone who can assist more. You deserve to get the care you need, and we will not practice outside our scope.

Addiction (alcohol or other drugs, porn, sex, etc.), anxiety, communication problems, ecological grief, adjustments, attachment issues, bipolar, codependency, coping mechanisms, depression, divorce, dual diagnosis (mental health and substance use), grief, identity issues, HIV/AIDS, LGBTQIA+, life transitions, open relationships, non-monogamy, C-PTSD, PTSD, phobias, polyamory, pre/menopause, BDSM/kink-affirming, midlife crisis, psychosis, body image, burnout, relationship stressors, self-esteem, self-harm, sex positive, sexual abuse, suicidal ideation, transgender, non binary people gender or sexuality identity exploration, perfectionism, panic, mood disorders.
Do you take insurance?
At this time, we do not accept insurance. We are self-pay only. There are a variety of advantages of self-pay (flexibility, lack of restriction, no surprise bills, no annual copay increases). If you have Out of network benefits (OON) please contact us, as we will be able to work with you and your insurance!
Superbills are able to be provided per client’s request. Superbills are reimbursement from the insurance company to the client after each session is paid to the provider. Please contact your insurance company to see if they are able to provide this service, as each company is different. If self-pay feels too costly please discuss it with us. We are flexible with payment plans, sliding scale and pro bono (if applicable).
We do work with Open Path and have a profile to see clients that have a membership. Cost of average session through Open Path is $40-$70.
Payments and Billing?
Our fee is $175 per 55 min session. I do not accept insurance at this time. Clients may log in to their client portal at Creative Attunement | SimplePractice and obtain copies of statements or superbills. Clients are responsible for determining whether their insurance company reimburses for out of network providers. Full payment is expected at the time of each appointment unless otherwise arranged. Cash, Debit/Credit Cards, Check are each acceptable forms of payment. Checks should be payable to “Creative Attunement LLC”. Upon request, monthly statements can be provided containing all pertinent data necessary. Fees are reviewed and modified annually. Clients are notified of any change in fee 30 days prior to it taking effect. A $25 service charge will be charged for any checks returned for any reason for special handling.
What states do you see clients in?
Currently we only see clients who reside in the state of Ohio. We are only licensed to practice in Ohio. In the future the Counseling Compact may be in effect which would allow for licensed counselors to see clients within the states who applied to be in the compact. To check in on the status of this, please visit Counseling Compact. If you are a current client and traveling out of state, we will need to wait for your return home to see you. It is against our licensing board to see clients via telehealth when they are outside the state.
Do you do anything for local charities or civic entities?
Sure do! We donate 10% of each months income to a local charity of our choosing.
Appointments and Cancellations?
Appointments are approximately 55 minutes. Please remember to cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance. You will be responsible for the entire fee ($200) if cancellation is less than 24 hours. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. If you are more than 20 minutes late for your session, your session will be considered a no-show and the remainder of your session time will be forfeited.
